Part 1 of our series: Common Issues
When working with your filling machine, occasional malfunctions or irregularities may occur. To help you respond quickly and efficiently, this article outlines the most common causes and how to fix them with just a few simple steps.
Whether it’s a temperature warning, blocked gears, or unexpected pump behaviour – with the right experience and a trained eye, many of these issues can be resolved in no time.
1 The machine doesn’t respond or reacts with delay
Symptom: Controls or electronics react slowly or not at all.
Possible cause: Electromagnetic interference caused by smartphones, unshielded devices, or strong magnetic fields nearby.
Solution:
- Remove any potential sources of interference near the machine.
- Perform a reset via the setup menu.
Tip: Avoid placing electronic devices directly next to the filling machine.
2 The machine won’t power on
Symptom: No lights, no response when switching on.
Possible causes:
- Power connectors are not properly connected.
- Internal fuse is faulty.
Note: The ON/OFF switch on the drive module is not illuminated.
Solution:
- Check all power connections.
- Ensure the power supply switch is lit. If it isn’t, the power supply may be defective.
- If necessary, replace the fuse in the drive module (2 spare fuses included with delivery).
3 Error message T-ERROR: Machine is overheating
Symptom: Display shows “T-ERROR” in red, machine stops operating.
Possible cause: Motor overload caused by filling a highly viscous product such as thick honey. This may also occur if hose length exceeds 3 metres.
Solution:
- Let the machine cool down for about 15 minutes while switched on.
- Press the confirmation button to acknowledge the error.
- Warm the honey slightly to reduce viscosity or shorten the spiral hose.
- If the error persists and overheating can be ruled out, please contact our support team.
4 Gears suddenly rotate in the wrong direction
Symptom: Unexpected rotation direction when starting.
Possible cause: Unintentional change in setup menu.
Solution:
- Open the setup menu.
- Check the direction setting under “PUMP”.
- Set the direction back to standard: >>>>>>
5 Error message OVERPUMP – Motor runs heavily or not at all
Symptom: Motor won’t start or is blocked. Display shows red “OVERPUMP” error.
Possible causes:
- The product is too viscous and has settled inside the pump head. Gears are gummed up and the motor shuts down.
- Honey has dried out, crystallised, or become sticky, causing gears to jam.
- A foreign object is obstructing the pump mechanism.
Solution:
- Thoroughly clean the pump head.
- Press the confirmation button to clear the error.
- If needed, gently warm the product to improve flow.
- Check gears for abrasion and replace if damaged.
- Remove any foreign objects from the pump head.
- If the error persists and cannot be cleared via the confirmation button, please contact our support team.
Conclusion: Small issue – quick fix
Many machine issues may seem complex at first, but can usually be resolved with just a few simple steps. With the right routine and a bit of know-how, your production will be back to smooth operation in no time.
