Part 2 – Mastering Fine Liquids – The Propolis Set
In part 1 of our HONEYAID® extension set series, we focused on the “Royal” set, designed for dispensing high-viscosity substances like royal jelly and creams. This time, we’re turning to the opposite end of the spectrum: low-viscosity liquids such as propolis solution, mead, or Bärenfang (honey liqueur).
For these applications, we developed the Propolis Extension Set – a specially tailored upgrade for the HONEYAID® honey filling machine, consisting of a high-precision peristaltic pump head and matching accessories.
Liquid, Clean, Reliable
Whether you’re filling alcohol-based propolis tinctures or aromatic honey wine, low-viscosity liquids require precise dosing and clean handling. The Propolis Set offers a simple and effective solution:
- Accurately fill small quantities from as little as 2 ml
- Ensure clean, drip-free dispensing
- Allow for quick and easy product changes
Compact but Precise – For Flexible Production
Thanks to interchangeable tubing sizes (3.2 mm and 6.4 mm), the flow rate can be precisely adjusted:
- Tubing set ⌀ 6.4 mm: 2,000 ml/min
Recommended fill volume: 100–1,000 ml - Tubing set ⌀ 3.2 mm: 550 ml/min
Recommended fill volume: 20–200 ml
This makes the set ideal for small-scale producers, beekeepers, artisan manufacturers, and anyone working with natural liquid extracts, who require reliable, reproducible filling for small batches.
Common Applications:
- Alcohol-based propolis tinctures
- Liquid mead or honey liqueurs (e.g. Bärenfang)
- Syrup-based specialties or herbal elixirs
Key Technical Benefits:
- Filling temperatures from 2–95 °C
- Accuracy up to 1% deviation max
- Automation-ready (e.g. with sensor and turntable)
- Tool-free tubing changes for fast cleaning
- Fully compatible with the HONEYAID® filling machine (triggered via foot or handle switch)
Conclusion
The Propolis Extension Set allows you to reliably fill fine, low-viscosity liquids with speed and precision. For those working with valuable extracts and artisan beverages, it is the perfect enhancement to proven HONEYAID® technology.
